Clerihew Day-July 8, 2013

For your poetry enjoyment today. Today is the birthday of London born Edmond Clerihew Bently. He is credited with inventing the humorous verse form known as…wait for it…the clerihew. It consists of two rhymed couplets of unequal length and is in the form aabb. Sounds easy enough.

Here is one of my own about a favorite character from my childhood.

Bugs Bunny
was really funny.
Making me laugh was his habit.
Now how could anyone want to kill that wabbit?Image
