Suddenly it’s September

I love do-overs. September is here and it’s a new month AND one of my favorite seasons is fast coming upon us. Fall is coming with its plethora of bright reds and golden yellows and lingering greens…ahhhhhh, I can’t wait! And I live in one of the most beautiful states in the 50.

This month has much to celebrate and remember as well: Library Card Sign-up Month, All-American Breakfast Month, Ice Cream Month, National Courtesy Month, Women of Achievement Month, and National Hispanic Heritage Month.

There are also a couple of special weeks: Constitution Week (beginning the 17th) and National Mind Mapping and Brainstorming Week (third full week).

Keep an eye out also for Labor Day, National Grandparents Day, Native American Day, Natiional Good Neighbor Day, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and the First Day of Autumn :).

Did you know that yesterday marked the death of the last carrier pigeon? It died at the Cincinnati Zoo in 1914.
